Video lesson on recognizing and identifying the names of the material from which an object is made.

Hi, dear viewers I hope you all have enjoyed my previous post. In this post you will get to see the lesson in a completely new package. It is being presented with features like screen recording, voice narration and other features waiting for you to explore. I hope you will enjoy this video lesson and you can always send me your queries, feedback and suggestions. I will be grateful if you could help me improve my content with your kind suggestions.

Topic: recognize and identify the names of the material from which an object is made.

Class: PP

Subject:  Mathematics

I chose class PP Mathematics on topic to recognize and identify the names of the material from which an object is made. This video lesson is made using camtasia studio, this lesson provides the young learners an opportunity to thoroughly comprehend the lesson on the topic. The main objectives for the lesson are that each child should be able to recognize and identify the name of the material from which an object is made by the end of the lesson.

How did I create this material?

First, I chose a topic from class PP Mathematics, after that I planned on making the lesson effective and interactive. I had to tailor my topic to make it easier and fun for teaching the content. I found that the name of the material from which an object is made relevant and easy to teach as the students get to understand and engage in identifying and recognizing objects that they see around. I wanted to add various features of camtasia studio to make my video lesson as interactive and interesting as possible. I downloaded pictures and notes required for my topic. Using the power point tool I made slides to deliver the lesson. I made use of different features like animations, transitions, shapes, colors and lines from the powerpoint. The next step was recording my video by using the screen recording feature of camtasia studio. It was not easy for me to carry out the video tutorial fluently, as I got stuck time and again while delivering the lesson. Finally when I finished recording my screen, I had to edit and make all the necessary adjustments to make my video lesson as perfect as possible.

Where should the material be used?

This video lesson can be used throughout the stages of the lesson delivery. The video can be used to provide information during lesson development for teaching the concepts to students because with the help of pictures and voice narration everything is explained clearly. It can be used during the explanation and conduction of the activity also because it will guide students to correctly follow the instruction and carry out the activity successfully.

The reason for choosing powerpoint slides with camtasia studio.

I have chosen to use powerpoint with camtasia studio because we know that powerpoint is a powerful tool while presenting any information. However, while presenting concepts online it would be difficult for presenting without the screen recording feature provided by camtasia studio. Moreover, camtasia studio is a free application which provides us with different features like premade animation, recorder and voice narration.

Activity instruction:

For carrying out the activity, I have provided three questions which need to be carried out individually. Each student is expected to clarify any doubt regarding the activity by dropping their queries in my personal wechat.

Connection in Parallel

Description

Hello viewers welcome to my blog, this is my third post and it is based on the topic connection in parallel for class six levels. This power point presentation is aimed at imparting the concepts of mechanism of how parallel circuit works and is created. This time I am certain that this post will keep you entertained and infirmed as I have put a lot more effort compared to the previous post. I have provided links of videos, files, and used simulations making the lesson more interesting and interactive.

Class: VI

Relevancy and effectiveness:

The entire material used in the presentation, which comprises of produced videos and simulations are everyday material that students encounter and make use of. Moreover the simulations that I have used are simple and easy to understand for their level. The videos and animations used will play the curiosity triggering roles as children are fond of cartoon images and characters which are simple and colorful. The entire effort is made making learning fun so that the students will remember and retain the information for longer duration, hence proving effective. When will it be used? Throughout the teaching learning session, I will use this material to make the teaching learning fun, enjoyable, interactive and effective. Since I have used simple elements to construct and convey the concept, the follow through of the lesson transitions will be smooth throughout the teaching learning process.

How has the material being created?

I have designed the slides in such a way that the concept is introduced in ascending order of concepts on which the concepts will gradually get complete only at the end. Some questions will be asked basically to confirm if they have the key concepts and the terminologies like circuit, connections, bulbs, wire and switch. Once the background knowledge is being verified, the later slides will have definitions, pictures of the circuit, supporting simulations, animations and videos to ensure that the concepts is clearly understood. Finally, the last slides will have the activity of creating complete parallel circuit in order to verify whether they have actually fulfilled the lesson objectives or not.

Activity: Parallel Circuit Table

Instruction:
The students will be divided into 4 groups. Distribute the parallel circuit table to students and invite them to construct two parallel circuits- one with two light bulbs and another with three light bulbs. Remind them that in a parallel circuit, there are multiples pathways for electricity to flow. Again, they should keep the battery source the same. Have them draw the diagrams in their table and rank the brightness.
